Takeshi ´Beat´ Kitano

Yesterday was the day of German re-union here. Not a big deal for most people I think,- only that we had free, lol, and a day off is always good I went to city- theater to a CD and DVD mess. Every 3 months is one, but this one was a crap. I was searching for Toots and the Maytals CD, and mainly for some good SKA bands or at least compilation CDs. Finally I bought a Reggae CD where the highlights are Inner Circle´s "I Shot the Sheriff", Jimmy Cliff, Althia & Donna and Desmond Dekker (a must in a reggae- compilation, lol) And something like "Cuban Music Legendary" CD, which is, hmm..interesting, yes Bought 2 DVD´s "Memento" and Takeshi Kitanos "HANA-BI". Kitano is the Japanese Tarantino if I may say like that. His other movies like "Violent Cop", "Sonatine", "Boiling Point", "Gonin", "Zatoichi" or "Brother" rocks too. The story in most of his movies is a Yakuza-clan conflict. Honour, duty, guns, good dialogues. Hell, yes, he is Japan´s Rude-Boy No. 1 !!!!
Trailers: Brother (12 MB) Brother (hi-res. 5,5 MB) both trailers are different! Zatoichi at apple.com Sonatine: another trailers: DSL Modem, ISDN 500 % Kitano --------------------------------- Office-Kitano web site I haven´t foud another trailer yet, I´ll search for it later maybe I spent ca. 30 Euro, and that was a quite good deal for 2 DVDs and 2 CDs
